2004
This link will take you to the complete 2004 Platform which is located
in the Libertarian Party's archives. The 2004 platform was adopted at the
Presidential Nominating Convention in Atlanta, attended by more than 800
delegates.
2006
This link will
take you to the truncated platform adopted by the off-year convention in
Portland, which was attended by fewer than 400 delegates. As you can see,
many important issues are not covered in in the 2006 version, and almost
nobody is happy with it. The Platform Committee has proposed replacing it
with a completely different approach, which states applicable principles
but does not mention existing policies or programs by name.
2008
This link will take you to the
Destination Liberty Platform developed by Rob Power, a member of the 2008
Platform Committee. This draft uses the 2004 Platform as a starting
point, as the Restoration Caucus has suggested, and incorporates changes
made in 2006.
